On this day I remember watching the sunlight dance it's way down the trees and I remember getting my wish that I could be with Matt and he would be well for a few hours so that we could be here. Sickness is not a beautiful thing - something we have known for the past three years, but life can still be beautiful.
It was lovely, we followed a path through the garden and then rested in an outdoor cafe reading books like a little old couple. I had a birthday tea with lavender scones and strawberry jam and I was very happy and so was he.
