Hello!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my little land in the space of the internet. I hope you will find it nice and cozy here.
Feel free to say hi and comment, but let me introduce myself so you know who you're talking to. :)

My name is Abigail and one thing I have always loved is food. When I was a little girl my parents moved my sister and I from our home in a small town in Indiana out to the country. Instead of running down the block to play with friends I baked chocolate cakes. When I wanted a proper cooking lesson I would go down to my grandmother's house who forever is and will be the queen of comfort food. Since then I thought about getting a degree in culinary arts, but opted for linguistics and Russian instead because I wanted to travel the world too. One place led to another and now I'm living in England with my husband Matt from Gibraltar. Being here I've fallen in love with the ritual of taking time for tea, hence the title of my blog. Also I'm deeply curious about the past. I love nostalgia, vintage, and historical relics and it may be a silly thought, but I often think about how the moon we see today is the same moon people have been seeing since the very beginning. How many stories could it tell us? I would love to have tea with the moon :)

Here I hope to share recipes that have a vintage feel to them or ones that are classics, (maybe with a little twist). I don't claim to be a professional, I'm just deeply passionate about food. There will be other things here as well - but we shall see what they are as the days unfold.

So until then I hope you enjoy these pictures.

Abby
